Highways Technician

Highways Technician needed in Preston, £16.91ph PAYE – Reference: 5297350

• Responsible for highway inspections, assessments and analysis required to identify works for delivery in line with relevant policies and procedures.
• To provide information and advice to customers to a high standard and within the service level timescales.
• Planning and delivering highway works to appropriate standards, efficiently and safely.
• Be aware of the available highway budgets and contribute to delivering works efficiently and within budget.
• Contribute to the delivery of Key Performance Indicators and agreed service level agreements.
• To work collaboratively and flexibly ensuring a consistent approach to service delivery.
• Delivering the out of hours service including the winter maintenance service and responding to emergencies at any time ensuring they are dealt with in a prompt, competent and safe manner.
• Supervision of repair teams to ensure safe and effective use of labour, plant and materials to deliver quality highway works.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
