Head of Repairs & Maintenance needed in Manchester Paying  £450 per day ref 000A E1D6 / 1

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Key Responsibilities

  • Resident Experience & Complaints Management
    • Take overall accountability for the effective management of repairs‑related complaints and resident feedback.
    • Ensure timely, thorough responses and embed a learning culture that drives service improvements.
    • Develop processes that strengthen resident satisfaction and enhance service transparency.

    Leadership & Team Management

    • Provide dynamic leadership to a multi‑disciplinary team, including construction professionals, surveyors, operational staff and support services.
    • Inspire a culture of accountability, high performance, and collaborative working.
    • Lead teams to achieve strategic objectives and deliver a customer‑focused, high‑quality repairs service.

    Repairs & Maintenance Service Delivery

    • Oversee the delivery of a best‑in‑class responsive repairs service, ensuring efficiency, quality and customer satisfaction.
    • Lead the strategy and operational delivery of:
      • Responsive repairs
      • Major works and planned maintenance
      • Voids and allocations
      • Disrepair management
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, safety standards and contractual obligations.

    Service Improvement & Performance

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the repairs and maintenance functions.
    • Use performance data, resident insight and operational intelligence to improve service delivery.
    • Ensure all performance targets, KPIs and service standards are consistently met or exceeded.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

    • Work closely with internal and external partners to ensure effective coordination of repairs and maintenance activities.
    • Build strong relationships with contractors, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure value for money and consistent quality.
    • Act as a senior advisor on repairs and maintenance matters to leadership teams.
