Garage Officer – Harlow

Contract: Full-time, Temporary (6 months)
Hours: 37.5 per week
Pay: £16.81 PAYE / £21.02 Umbrella

Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive Garage Officer to join our Area Housing Team. You will manage garage and hardstanding allocations, ensure customer satisfaction, and maintain stock efficiency in line with the Client’s policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Allocate and manage garages and hardstandings to maximise usage.
• Inspect garage blocks and hardstanding areas for safety and maintenance issues.
• Investigate and resolve issues such as vandalism, abandoned vehicles, and health hazards.
• Maintain accurate records and update electronic systems.
• Support debt recovery and recommend write-offs in line with financial regulations.
• Assist with team cover and training of new staff.

Requirements:

• Experience in customer-focused housing or estate management.
• Knowledge of housing legislation.
• Strong communication, organisational, and IT skills (Microsoft Office).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport.
