Funding and Operations Officer needed in Bromley

This is a temporary contract initially paying £23.95ph PAYE

The successful candidate will oversee governance and operational assurance for financial assistance schemes, ensuring all funding decisions are validated, authorised and compliant with statutory, financial and audit requirements.

They will lead statutory and government‑mandated reporting, producing accurate performance data and audit‑ready submissions that support continued funding. They will identify and escalate key risks, provide authoritative advice to senior leaders and partners, and drive service improvements across policy, workflow and digital processes. The role includes ensuring data accuracy and strong governance standards, representing the service at internal and external boards with clear, evidence‑based insights, and providing leadership and professional development for senior staff. They will also undertake any duties necessary to maintain operational resilience and service integrity.
