DLO Electrician

DLO Electrician needed in Portsmouth, £148.05 per day PAYE – Reference: OR100410

• Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, inspections, testing and surveys in line with regulations and safety standards
• Complete work orders and reports accurately using mobile systems
• Deliver works within agreed response times and quality standards
• Diagnose and rectify faults efficiently, minimising repeat visits
• Support emergency call‑out services via a fair rota system
• Liaise professionally with residents, including those who may be vulnerable
• Support team colleagues, including mentoring when required
• Ensure tools, stock, and company vehicles are maintained safely and responsibly
• Promote health & safety, compliance, equality, diversity and Southern Housing’s HEART values

You will ideally have: 

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance or installation within housing or a similar environment
• Recognised electrical qualifications, including:
  • NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent) with AM2 / AM2E
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Inspection & Testing qualification (e.g. 2391 or 2395)
• Strong working knowledge of building regulations, NICEIC standards and health & safety legislation
• Ability to work independently and manage workloads effectively
• Excellent communication and customer‑focused approach
• Willingness to participate in out‑of‑hours and emergency rotas
• Full UK driving licence

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
