Disposal Surveyor

Disposal Surveyor needed in Bradford, £323.82 per day PAYE – Reference: 5295734

To lead and manage the disposal of surplus property assets in a way that maximises capital receipts, supports the priorities and ensures compliance with statutory duties.

The role balances commercial awareness with public sector accountability, ensuring that disposals deliver best consideration and strategic outcomes for the authority.

• Manage a varied caseload of freehold disposals from inception to completion.
• Prepare disposal strategies, valuation advice and recommendations for decision-makers.
• Undertake disposal recommendation summaries to determine the most appropriate disposal route.
• Work in collaboration with retained property agents in support of delivering disposal outcomes.
• Lead negotiations with purchasers, developers and their agents to secure best consideration.

• Ensure all disposals comply with the Local Government Act 1972 (including Section 123), the council’s constitution and financial regulations.
• Prepare and maintain audit-ready documentation, including valuation evidence, marketing records and decision-making trails.

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
