Caretaker needed in North London  Paying  £17.78 per hr ref 1699161

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Main Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

• Carry out routine maintenance, minor repairs and basic DIY tasks around the building.
• Report larger repairs or health & safety hazards to the appropriate manager or contractor.
• Conduct regular checks of the building, facilities, and equipment.

Site Security

• Open and lock the site at agreed times, ensuring all buildings and grounds are secure.
• Monitor alarms, security systems and CCTV (if applicable).
• Act as a key holder, responding to out‑of‑hours emergencies when required.

Cleaning & Upkeep

• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in internal and external areas.
• Support cleaning staff and cover essential cleaning tasks when required.
• Ensure rubbish is collected, bins are emptied, and outdoor areas are kept tidy.

Health & Safety

• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures, including conducting daily and weekly checks.
• Record and report incidents, hazards and maintenance issues.
• Assist with risk assessments and ensure safe working practices.

General Site Support

• Set up rooms, furniture and equipment for meetings, classes or events.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers and staff where needed.
• Manage deliveries, stock levels and ordering of basic supplies.
