Full time hours on a temporary basis
Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist advice to the Safety Advisory Group (SAG) on public events, temporary structures, and associated building regulation requirements.
- Review technical plans, risk assessments, method statements, and construction proposals to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation.
- Advise event organisers, contractors, and stakeholders on safety standards, structural integrity, fire safety, access, egress, and crowd management considerations.
- Conduct site inspections of events, venues, and temporary structures, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.
- Ensure all activities meet statutory duties under building regulations, health and safety legislation, and public safety guidance.
- Collaborate with partners including Emergency Services, Highways, Environmental Health, Licensing, and other internal and external agencies.
- Prepare reports, compliance documentation, and recommendations for SAG meetings.
- Support the coordination, monitoring, and approval process for major events within the area.
- Take part in enforcement activities where safety or compliance concerns arise.
