Ideally you will have experience within a local authority setting within a Homelessness team.

You can ideally demonstrate  the following , experience  of working with and employing Homeless persons legislation , case load management , making enquiries and investigating a persons housing need , providing advice and assistance , making  homeless legal decisions , making referrals to support  services , having difficult  conversations , utilising access to grant funding to alleviate housing need , working to deadlines and able to prioritise  work. Have excellent customer service skills.  Be able to record keep and good data entry . An understanding of the CIVICA abritas system would be an advantage but not essential .
