Working within the Planning Service as the lead specialist officer responsible for all statutory and non statutory tasks associated with embedding sustainability and addressing climate change as part of the planning process and where relevant associated wider corporate objectives.
They successful candidate will be working as part of the Conservation, Urban Design and Sustainability (CUDS) team as the lead officer on sustainability and climate change within the Planning Service, ensuring planning permissions and resultant development are of high quality and respond to climate change at a local level, and deliver policy objectives as set out in national, regional and local planning policy frameworks and related strategies.
