Service Charge Officer Full Time Temporary

Service Charge Officer based in Tower Hamlets with a rate of £19.01 per hr

This role will involve:

• To assist in collecting and verifying cost data required for an accurate assessment of estimated and actual service charges for the domestic leasehold property portfolio.
• To work with the Service Charge Manager and Specialist to highlight issues with data collection, data quality or allocation of costs to cost centres as necessary to ensure robust billing.
• To allocate costs to cost centres under the instruction of the Service Charge Manager and Service Charge Specialist.
• To maintain proper, comprehensible, working papers for the above.
• To maintain a logical electronic filing structure to support the Service Charge team’s work.
• To assist in providing suitable high quality explanatory documentation to Leaseholder Services and Customer Services teams in order that they should understand and be able to explain the basis of all charges and so they can respond to leaseholders and other stakeholders.
• To maintain, identify and allocate cash from the Service Charge suspense account and to appropriate unidentifiable cash as necessary.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Experience of researching, understanding and collating large amounts of data
• Experience of manipulating large amounts of data electronically.
• Experience of preparing and explaining complex calculations.
• High level of competency in the use of IT including integrated housing management systems and Microsoft Office© products, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook
