Service Charge Accountant Full Time Temporary

Service Charge Accountant needed in Kensington £19.51 per hr PAYE – Reference: 5190547

This role will involve:

• Ensure financial accounting procedures are kept up to date and any changes approved by the Head of Financial Reporting and Controls.
• Address inadequacies in control procedures and make recommendations as necessary in respect of non-compliance with procedures
• Produce reports from the IBC Portal, SAP GUI and other peripheral systems to support in-year monitoring, year-end and statutory reporting.
• Assist Principal Financial Accountants in completion of quarterly, annual and ad hoc government and statistical returns, including WGA, RO, QRO and CO.
• Support maintenance of corporate registers to support year-end statutory disclosures e.g. Leasing Register and Grant Income.
• Prepare audit working papers for assigned areas and ensure these comply with audit requirements.
• Contribute to planning for an effective and efficient annual closure of accounts process, including lessons learnt review following each year-end.
• Lead on assigned areas of the Statement of Accounts, ensuring all disclosures are fully reconciled and supported by appropriate documentation.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement plan for Financial Reporting and Control and assist in the design of new processes and procedures.

Ideally candidates will have:

• AAT part qualified OR equivalent experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Detailed experience of independently using financial functions such as the General Ledger and effectively using Microsoft packages such as Word and Excel in a work environment
• Provides data for reports in a clear, understandable and appropriate format for use
• Able to manipulate complex data to demonstrate trends and correlations. Able to produce notes on technical issues to add the report writer
• Can extract and manipulate complex financial information to demonstrate trends / correlations

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
