Senior Tax Accountant needed in Shropshire £19.64ph ref 409297

Working full time hours on a temporary basis.

Providing strategic advice to senior managers and officers on VAT issues. Supervising of VAT claims and dealing with HM Revenues & Customs on all VAT matters. Providing corporation tax advice and administering HM Revenue’s & Customs corporation tax returns on behalf of external clients of the finance function. Co-ordinate the regular update of financial policies, guidance and procedure notes specific to tax matters for all Client employees on the intranet. To be involved with other comparable duties within the Finance, Governance & Assurance service consistent with the level of the post and, in particular, those that will enable the Division to respond effectively to the changing requirements of the Client. These duties are illustrative and not exhaustive. The post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work to enable the service to respond effectively to the changing requirements of the Council and changes affecting the workforce.
