Senior Public Health Practitioner Full Time Temporary

Senior Public Health Practitioner needed in Southampton paying £25.79 per hr PAYE Ref:5194483

This role is full time on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

• To work collaboratively across all functions; providing public health specialist leadership to inform strategy development, commissioning, service planning and redesign, implementation and service evaluation
• Lead and/or facilitate health improvement partnership working and delivery plans to ensure public health outcomes
• Use a wide range of data sources and evidence to analyse needs, identify gaps in service provision, ensure best practice and develop strategies to tackle unmet need
• Present your work verbally and in written reports at relevant Board meetings
• Provide public health specialist expertise to elected members and engage with national bodies on specialist areas to ensure local delivery of public health outcomes
• Ensure value for money in public health decision making through prioritisation and health impact assessment

Ideally candidates will have:

• Degree in relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification
• Post-graduate qualification in relevant subject or equivalent professional qualification
• UKPHR registered public health practitioner or on track to be registered within 3 years
• Full UK driving licence
