Senior Planning Officer Full Time Temporary

Senior Planning Officer needed in Honiton paying £40.00 per hr PAYE – Reference: 5203452

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis

Responsibilities

• Dealing with applications for planning permission (including major applications), advertisement consent, Listed Building consent, other applications under Local Development Orders, and discharge of conditions etc including, site inspections, negotiations with applicants/agents, consultations with appropriate departments, organisations, individuals, written reasoned justifications and formulating recommendations for consideration by Development Management Committee and Service Lead – Planning Strategy and Development Management.
• Providing advice and guidance to the general public, agents and applicants and other sections and Departments, and other bodies on planning matters.
• To negotiate and organise the necessary legal agreements and the monitoring and reviewing progress of planning obligations.
• Preparing and presenting the Local Planning Authority’s case in connection with Appeals against the decisions of the Local Planning Authority.
• Investigating breaches or alleged breaches of planning control and initiating enforcement procedures with liaison with the enforcement team.
• Monitoring and reviewing progress of planning applications.
