Senior Commissioner Contract Full Time

Senior Commissioner based in Newham and the rate is £40.33 per hr

This role will involve:

• To lead the Children’s Mental Health partnership and ensure co-ordination and delivery of the priorities and work-plan, including the response to covid.
• Lead a system-wide response to strengthening the wellbeing, mental health and resilience of children and families and the embedding/adaptation of services to address additional wellbeing pressures caused by Covid.
• To work closely with officers and partners on commissioning/de-commissioning services and resource allocation to meet the needs of children and families with mental health needs and manage the relationship with key providers.
• To drive change to secure improved outcomes for children and young people.
• Use an evidenced based approach to identify the outcomes we wish to achieve for residents.
• To develop and support strong partnerships with stakeholders to promote emotional wellbeing, mental health and recovery, including schools, health partners and children and families.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure there is a coherent and co-ordinated approach to securing wellbeing and mental health for children and families.
• To lead on the ongoing development of the joint strategy for emotional wellbeing and mental health and collaborate with health partners on the future model of CAMHS and other joint priorities identified with the CCG and Public Health.
• To lead on securing best value from all mental health provision  and with other areas of children’s commissioning, as identified with the Assistant Director for Children’s Commissioning
