Senior Administrative Officer Full Time Temporary

Senior Administrative Officer needed in Oxford paying £11 per hr PAYE Ref: 5168672

This is working full time hours on a temporary basis

Responsibilities:

1. Management, supervision, leadership and co-ordination of the work of a team of administrators, ensuring even and professional administrative support for locality teams and county wide.
2. Organise the administrative team flexibly, including annual leave/sick leave monitoring so as to provide continuity of support and enable swift cross-county responses to major, complex or urgent tasks.
3. Ensure cross-county Senior Admin cover across all localities, covering for absent Senior Administrators and providing short-term cover for administrators as needed in emergency situations.
4. Ensure effective management and support of all administrative staff in the team, including recruitment, induction, supervision, appraisal, identification of appropriate learning opportunities and performance management in line with policies, with the support of the Business Support Manager.
5. Promote the professional development of administrators by ongoing evaluation of quality of work, developing and delivering or sourcing
6. Motivate, develop and support staff to provide high quality customer care, taking account of the sensitive, emotionally demanding and sometimes high profile nature of the various work areas and the particular needs of the client groups who access our services, many of whom are vulnerable.
7. Proactively use audit, customer feedback , consultation with colleagues and personal knowledge to contribute to consultative processes and the continual improvement of services
8. Chair and facilitate regular admin team meetings:  encouraging the use of initiative and the sharing of knowledge, guiding the administrators through new processes or periods of change
