About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Resilience Officer to join our team. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective preparation, maintenance, and review of Emergency and Business Continuity Plans. You will work closely with various stakeholders to enhance our resilience strategies and support our communities in times of need.

Key Responsibilities:

• Emergency and Business Continuity Planning: Prepare, maintain, and review Emergency and Business Continuity Plans in accordance with risk assessments and national guidance. Implement and maintain effective procedures for responding to and recovering from major incidents and business continuity interruptions.

• Risk Assessment: Develop and prepare risk assessments to support contingency planning arrangements.

• Incident Management Support: Provide incident management support as required during emergencies.

• Advisory Role: Offer comprehensive specialist advice, guidance, information, briefings, and reports to support the political and managerial leadership of  resilience-related matters.

• Training Development: Design and deliver training packages and programmes tailored for all levels of staff and stakeholders.

• Plan Validation: Undertake plan validation, including the development and delivery of local and regional exercises.

• Business Continuity Management: Develop and implement a programme of advice and assistance for local businesses and voluntary organisations regarding Business Continuity Management.

• Partnership Liaison: Liaise and collaborate with local partners to enhance resilience efforts.

• Continuous Improvement: Implement continual improvement processes by monitoring best practices, adopting lessons learned, and conducting audit and assurance processes.
