Refugee Community support officer needed in North London with dbs. Ref 010023

Part time 25 hours on a temporary basis

£17.91ph

To create and deliver a quality floating support service to newly arrived refugee households in the borough.
• To assist these families and individuals to become settled into their new home and help them to build resilience and engage with local services so that they become integrated within Harrow communities.
• To work closely with different council departments and other stakeholders including, the private rented sector, the Home Office, Harrow Housing Management, DWP, Harrow Citizens and other support agencies to develop and deliver tailored support plans for each member of the household and ensure that any identified needs are actioned and referred to relevant specialist support agency as necessary.
• To meet and greet newly arrived refugees and ensure their safe transition and settling into their new home, schools, colleges and local community.
