Project Engineer Traffic Management Contract Full Time

Project Engineer Traffic Management needed in based in Newbury and the salary is £14.38ph PAYE  

This is a full time temporary role.

This role will involve:

• Provide professional and technical services consistent with the post holder’s qualifications and experience in relation to the delivery of Traffic and Road Safety engineering projects. To assist in delivering the Highways Capital Programme;
• Design, manage and supervise the construction of highway works and other associated engineering projects associated with Traffic and Road Safety; with specific emphasis on delivering and managing map based parking schemes
• Compile specifications, bills of quantities and contract documentation for highway works;
• Assist in the review and implementation of systems and standards to secure the delivery of the service;
• Investigate and respond as necessary to the highway implications of planning applications for developers’ projects on behalf of the client;

 Ideally candidates will have:

• Relevant Degree or HNC plus 3 yrs (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering experience (Grade H)
• Relevant Degree plus 1 yr or HNC plus 5 yrs (or equivalent) experience in Civil Engineering (Grade I)
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Highways Act 1980 and Road Traffic Regulation act 1984 and TSRGD (2016) or latest
• Ability to use Outlook, and a web browser to access information
• Basic ability to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)
• Understanding and use of GIS
• Ability to use AutoCAD and highway design related add-on packages.
• Full, clean driving licence
