Procurement Officer Contract Full Time

Based in Knowsley paying £15.12ph PAYE

This is a full time temporary contract role.

Our client is looking for a Procurement Officer. To be CIPS Qualified.

The post-holder will support the Head of Service and the Procurement Manager to develop and maintain a co-ordinated approach towards procurement and contract management for the council, seeking value for money, relationship and performance management of suppliers and offering advice on all areas of council procurement and contract activity to include all service, supplies and works contracts.

They will be responsible for long term planning of procurement, implementing change of source and nature of resources whilst ensuring continuity. Long term planning can be in excess of 12 months to more than 3 years.
