Procurement Manager needed in based in Chichester and the salary is £280.29 per day PAYE
This is a full time temporary role.
This role will involve:
The purpose of the role is to manage end to end procurement and contract management activities associated with tender management and contract management disciplines. The client had adopted a category-led approach and this role will primarily support the corporate resources and or “Place” category teams. Supporting stakeholders with the entire procurement cycle and managing the tenders via e-Sourcing portals, the post holder will deliver value for money outcomes through effective and compliant procurement processes.
They will support the development and implementation of robust sub-category strategies for the category that optimise performance for the business in terms of cost, quality, delivery and responsiveness. They will manage and support on projects and sub-categories and be responsible for contributions to a category which currently spends £180M – £200M across approx. 300 plus suppliers, with significant spend in sub-categories of highways, construction and waste in the Place category and areas of professional services, IT, Fleet, FM, HR, Financial services and consultancy in the Resources Category. They will be an interface for sub-categories with stakeholders, developing category and procurements and supporting stakeholders in best practices.
