Procurement Business & Category Manager Full Time Temporary

Procurement Business & Category Manager needed in Newbury £250.00 per day PAYE – Reference:5183664

This role will involve:

• Advise Managers and service areas on the procurement process in line with the Contract Rules of Procedure and Public Contracts Regulations 2015 to get value for money and cashable savings from procurement activity (procurements under 100k)
• Lead on management of the client’s procurement portal producing reports and analyzing data for senior managers and Procurement Board when required
• Take a proactive approach to identify opportunities in procurement for innovation on line with the strategic direction for a category management approach to service delivery
• To line manage Procurement Officer role, planning and organising their workload.
• Develop and implement a programme of tenders across assigned categories, managing own procurement workload, driving and delivering Category Plans where required.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Membership of Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply – MCIPS

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
