This role will involve:
The main responsibilities are to provide professional legal advice and support to the client’s development management, strategic planning, planning enforcement and regulatory functions, together with representing the client in courts, inquires and tribunals. The Principal Regulatory Lawyer also provides legal advice and support to the Development Management and Licensing Committees.
The Principal Regulatory Lawyer will work with other members of the Legal Services Team to deliver a comprehensive legal service to the client. This may involve assisting the Monitoring Officer and the Deputy Monitoring Officers to respond to code of conduct complaints and other governance-related issues.
