Planning Ecologist 19345 Contract Full Time

Planning Ecologist needed in Northampton Ref 19345

Location Mainly WFH, but it’s possible attendance at the Kettering or Thrapston office will be required 1 day a week

Duration of assignment: 12 weeks

Working hours: Monday to Friday – 37 hours

Rate: £50 per hour Umbrella OR £38.46 per hour PAYE

The successful candidate’s main tasks will involve the technical assessment of ecology reports associated with planning applications, and providing consultation responses with recommendations to application case officers.

The qualifications and experience necessary are detailed within the Job Description, but in brief we’re seeking candidates who are members of The Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM), or seeking to qualify for membership. 

Also, we’re looking for a candidate with 2 years’ experience.

1. Advise Planning Management officers on planning applications by responding to planning consultation requests and supporting colleagues through advice on Biodiversity Net Gain.
2. Support the Biodiversity and Nature Recovery Lead Officer and Planning Policy team by providing input and advice into the delivery of the Local Nature Recovery Strategy through Biodiversity Net Gain.
