Medical Allocations Officer Part Time Temporary

Medical Allocations Officer needed in Grays £13.34 per hr PAYE – Reference:477504

 This role will involve:

• Carry out assessments of individuals medical circumstances provided in the Health and Housing Questionnaire and making recommendations on: Priority for rehousing on the housing register; the suitability and unsuitability of current or future accommodation; The impact of ‘vulnerability’ for purposes of establishing ‘priority need’ for people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness; The suitability of accommodation that is offered to an individual.
• Reviewing medical decisions
• Provide advice in relation to an individual’s medical condition
• Provide verbal and written advice to officers in the Housing Solutions Service regarding applicants’ medical circumstances and the impact of those circumstances on the applicant’s housing need or ‘vulnerability”.
• To ensure that all appropriate information is available from relevant specialists, consultants and allied health professionals to provide the required advice
• Deliver a front line customer focused allocations service, meeting with applicants and advise on the best options available to achieve alternative accommodation.
