Local Economy Officer Full Time Temporary

Local Economy Officer needed in London £20.54ph PAYE – Reference:0004 CB49 / 1

This role will involve:

To maintain and develop a professional understanding of the issues relating to Inclusive Economy and Community Wealth Building, keeping abreast of the relevant legislation, policy, decision making frameworks, and other professional parameters relating to the assigned role within the team.

To provide support to the Team Leader Inclusive Economy, coordinating local economy activity linked to local economy strategy and other related strategies impacting on the success of Islington’s local economy.

To project manage inclusive economy initiatives, projects and events in Islington’s town centres and other key employment areas, such as business support programmes, affordable workspace activities, skills and employment activities, consultation events, marketing and promotional initiatives, physical projects, festivals and events, etc.

To facilitate, support and undertake support functions for business networks, such as Town Centre Management Groups and stakeholder working groups, ensuring that local businesses and key stakeholders are fully engaged in Inclusive Economy initiatives and development programmes.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
