Full time hours on a temporary basis.
As a Licensing Officer you will be responsible for enforcing the new COVID-19 regulations and more traditional licensing legislation ensuring a balanced and consistent approach to businesses across the county. This is a fast paced and varied role in which you will need to have the skills and ability to work within a challenging and ever-changing industry. You will be working with a number of licensing functions to ensure public safety, crime reduction, the reduction of harm from alcohol and night time economy, gambling and animal welfare. We are looking for you to have proven experience and knowledge of enforcement, ideally within a public setting, and an understanding of the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and Animal Licensing. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills, written and presenting to a range of audiences including members of the public, elected members and external and internal partnership agencies.
