Library Assistant Part Time Temporary

Library Assistant needed in Southampton, £11.78ph PAYE – 5253665

worked Saturdays paid at time & a half. 

7 hrs per week worked over a Wednesday 5pm – 7pm and Saturday 10am – 4 pm with a hour lunch break.

Initially the post will be for 4 months (September – December 2024) with a view to extending for a further 3 months (January – March 2025)

The role involves:-

• Assisting customers in issuing and returning library items.
• Accurately shelving returned items and keeping the library tidy and in good order.
• Helping customers with a variety of enquiries & in using technology i.e. PCs, photocopiers, and using the library management system to locate required books and update customer information.

This is a Part time role on a temporary contract basis
