Legal Secretary Part Time Temporary

Legal Secretary needed in Eastleigh £12.35ph PAYE – Reference:440744

• Maintain effective day to day administration of the Deputy Legal Adviser’s office: maintaining diaries, responding to and making appointments, arranging meetings and organising all related travel arrangements (bookings, travel warrants, tickets, train times, etc), opening and distributing departmental post.
• Act as the first point of contact either by telephone or in person. Initiate appropriate action in line with current policy and procedures, displaying appropriate diplomatic skills and appropriate follow through action.
• In the absence of both the Force Solicitor and the Deputy Legal Adviser to deal in the first instance with ad hoc queries. To deputise for the Force Solictor’s Assistant in their absence.
• To carry out a range of typing and word-processing tasks to include working from shorthand, copy, audio typing and preparation of own correspondence from brief notes. The documents to be produced may include any of the following:
• letters
• memoranda
• statements
• short or lengthy reports
• confidential documents
• word-processor generated charts and graphics

This is a part time role (21hrs) on a temporary contract basis
