Legal Assistant needed in Matlock £12.50 ph ref 5205398

Full time hours on a temporary basis.  

• Provide legal advice and assistance to the Adult Care and Education Legal teams, to include but not limited to matters of education law, school advice, special educational needs and proceedings, safeguarding, mental capacity, inquests, ordinary residence, and section 117 disputes.
• Drafting and managing applications to the Court of Protection and the First-tier Tribunal.
• Evaluate and instruct external service providers, including appointing and briefing Counsel as required.
• Prepare and draft applications, witness statements and other necessary Court and Tribunal documentation.
• Effective management of your own workload, as well as assisting Lawyers within the team in the conduct of their cases.
