Investigations Officer Full Time Temporary

Investigations Officer needed in Grays £125.00  per day PAYE – Reference:446440

This role will involve:

• To investigate allegations of fraud, corruption or other irregularity alleged to have been committed against the client or its partners, including jointly with other agencies.
• To maintain the highest level of integrity and performance in delivering services to the client and partners.
• To have a broad knowledge of employment law in relation to internal investigations and disciplinary action.
• To ensure full compliance with, and have a sound knowledge of personal accountability pursuant with the Fraud Investigation Manual and in respect of, Police and Criminal Evidence Act; Social Security Administration Act; Social Security Fraud Act; Theft Act; Fraud Act; Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act; Criminal Procedures and Investigations Act; Data Protection Act; Human Rights Act; Protection of Freedoms Act, Code for Crown Prosecutors and all other relevant legislation and regulations governing the investigation process, to include arrest and search procedures; conduct at police stations; interviews under caution; covert surveillance; obtaining telecommunications data; obtaining data from third parties; the use of covert human intelligence sources; obtaining witness statements; preparing prosecution and sanction files and giving evidence at court.

Ideally candidates will have:

• Nationally accredited Investigator/ Detective or similar law enforcement related qualification (such as BITS, ACFS or PIP2 and experience)
• Experience of conducting covert surveillance including; foot; mobile; static and; log keeping
• Knowledge of procedures for a Local Authority to apply for directed covert surveillance
• Knowledge of the Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act 2000 and; amendments under the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012
• Working experience of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 investigation and confiscation regime

This is a Full time role on a temporary contract basis.
