HR Consultant Contract Full Time

HR Consultant Based in Worcester and the salary is £16.71 ph PAYE

This role will involve:

• To advise and guide Headteachers, other school leaders and Governors on any matters relating to the management of human resources, including the implications of relevant legislation and/or local
• Conditions of Service/locally determined policies and procedures. This will entail offering options and outlining associated risks, where applicable, to provide desired outcomes.
• To advise and guide Headteachers, other senior staff and Governors as appropriate, at all stages, (including Appeals and Tribunals), in handling of individual cases including recruitment and selection, discipline, grievance, performance management and dismissals. This may involve coordinating and managing high profile, highly sensitive, contentious and multi-faceted/whole school cases, on behalf of school customers, liaising with all stakeholders.
• To take a lead role in supporting Headteachers, school leaders and Governors in undertaking investigations in HR matters as appropriate (e.g. disciplinary, harassment, grievance).
• To advise on change management and school restructure processes; advising on Business Plans and implementation strategies, providing support and guidance throughout the process.
• To provide Headteachers, school leaders and Governors with advice on employment matters subject to collective, individual consultation, negotiation and to ensure appropriate and timely Trade Union consultation is undertaken where necessary, e.g. redundancy and TUPE processes.

Ideally candidates will have:

• A Level 7 CIPD diploma or can demonstrate equivalent compensatory experience
• Evidence of continuing professional development
• Expert and up-to-date knowledge of employment law.
• Expert knowledge of HR policies, procedures and practices which comply with employment law, preferably as applied in a large organization.
• A high level of ability to analyse complex situations, identify the essential issues, and find solutions to these.
