Housing Officer needed in Birmingham £14.19 ph PAYE – Reference:369381

This role will involve:

  • Support the development and day-to-day operation of the Accommodation Finding Service. Help the service to operate within legislative requirements and deliver against key Directorate priorities and targets.
  • Support the Strategic Lead to source and secure a wide range of suitable housing solutions that allow the client to successfully discharge its statutory homelessness duties. Ensure all accommodation sourced is suitable in accordance with homelessness legislation.
  • Support the growth of Private Rented Sector (PRS) properties and alternative housing solutions by building on networks and developing relationships with PRS landlords, Housing Associations and other housing providers.
  • Regularly update the property portfolio and property matching system to ensure the Housing Solution & Support Service has access to accurate property information.
  • Help to maintain and review property suitability standards and contribute towards the development of a Property Inspection policy and any other associated service policies.
  • Ensure suitable alternative housing supply is sourced that meets the wide-ranging housing needs of homeless or at risk of homelessness households.

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis.
