Housing development and Policy officer needed in Bury £14.86ph ref 0003 DA8A / 1
Working 3 days a week on a flexi time
This is a temporary position until March 2021 to support the work of Environmental Health Officers in a small and friendly housing standards team. In the main, you will be responsible for carrying out property inspections; identifying hazards under the Housing Health & Safety Rating System; offering advice and recommendations on property improvements and referring any serious Category 1 hazards to the appropriate officers e.g. EHO’s, Building Control.
You will advise landlords on their legal obligations, acceptable standards, decency, energy efficiency and tenancy sustainment and aid in providing conflict resolution for both landlords and tenants in disputes where appropriate.
