Highways Enforcement Officer Full Time Temporary

Highways Enforcement Officer needed in South West London Paying  £144.12 per day ref 1409100

Full time hours on a temporary basis

Duties:

• Investigate environmental crimes and utilize statutory powers for enforcement.
• Conduct routine patrols to identify and address littering, graffiti, fly-tipping, and other offenses.
• Issue Fixed Penalty Notices for environmental violations, ensuring proper evidence collection.
• Coordinate with relevant services or contractors for the removal of environmental offenses.
• Inspect licensed and unlicensed highway activities, issuing penalties for infringements.
• Address unlicensed shop fronts and tables/chairs on public highways.
• Investigate abandoned vehicles and manage their potential removal.
• Report highway damage and coordinate necessary remedial actions.
• Conduct interviews and prepare statements for legal proceedings as per the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984.
• Act as a professional witness in legal actions related to enforcement.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of statutory duties and relevant legislation.
