Highway Principle Engineer needed in Huddersfield  £22.28ph ref 412405

Working full time hours on a temporary basis.

This role will be based in the Highways Major Design team and will be focused on working alongside 3rd party consultants to undertake design checks, on concept designs, followed by detail design of approx £60m + of highway infrastructure improvement schemes funded by DfT Transforming Cities Funding. The programme for this fund is ambitious, with tight deadlines. It will require extensive experience of highway design, Autocad (3D would be advantageous), project management experience, as well as the ability to work in a team and supervise others. Although our offices are in Huddersfield, all our design staff are currently working from home for the majority of the time. Candidates will need to travel to Huddersfield to collect IT equipment, and have to have the ability to attend site, for surveys, visits, investigations etc if necessary.
