Health Safety and Welfare Advisor Full Time Temporary

Health Safety and Welfare Advisor needed in Quedgeley paying £18.32 per hr PAYE – Reference: 95042

This is a full time role on a temporary contract basis

 Responsibilities

• To provide a wide range of specialist support, and competent advice to lead the Service in providing comprehensive health safety and wellbeing management and support.
• To improve the awareness of health, safety and wellbeing within the Service by identifying and minimising risks whilst developing safe working practices, through the dissemination of information, and delivering health, safety and welfare training programmes and initiatives.
• To lead, co-ordinate, maintain and monitor a proactive safety, health and wellbeing function that enables managers within GFRS to effectivley discharge their statutory and moral duties.
• To devise and implement policies and procedures to ensure statutory and mandatory compliance through National Fire Chiefs standards and Health And Safety regulations, promote good practice and, where possible, improve on their requirements.
• To provide assurance to senior management that all safety, health and wellbeing processes and procedures are implemented and acted on.
