Health and Safety Compliance Manager Contract Full Time

Health and Safety Compliance Manager needed in based in Harrow and the salary is £23.13 ph PAYE

 This role will involve:

• To contribute to the development and delivery of service plan objectives in line with the Housing Ambition Plan and corporate priorities.
• To act as lead officer in the management of asbestos surveys and subsequent action e.g. removal in line with current asbestos regulations and the department’s Asbestos Strategy and plan.
• To carry out asbestos surveys and submit reports to determine ACM content and recommendations on its management on empty properties and on tenanted properties.
• To carry out accident and incident investigations, to recommend corrective actions.
• To ensure audit and investigation recommendations/actions are implemented in full and within set timescales.
• To manage and monitor asbestos removal with the client’s appointed contractors, in liaison with the client’s Health and Safety department, carrying out site inspections as required,
• To manage the end to end process for the provision of adequate asbestos information including the asbestos survey reports to contractors to ensure programmed works can proceed on time and in line with current legislation

Ideally candidates will have:

• Knowledge of the issues involved in providing technical client advice for the management of asbestos surveys and its removal.
• Knowledge of building legislation, health and safety regulations, specialising in either asbestos, legionella or fire risk.
• Knowledge of good practice in commissioning and procurement and value for money in matters relating to the delivery of projects.
• Demonstrable experience of managing consultants / contractors carrying out risk assessment programmes and subsequent works
• Nebosh General Certificate/Diploma in Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
• Chartered Member of IOSH/CIEH or working towards Chartered status
