Health and Safety Business Partner based in Durham and the rate is £21.74 per hr

This is a full time temporary contract role

This role will involve:

• In this role, the post holder will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Maintenance team to establish, implement, maintain and continuously improve the Home Group in-house Maintenance Health and Safety Management System following the recognised standards as well as a site inspection programme for the in-house Maintenance team.
• They will support colleagues with construction-related Health and Safety matters and provide advice and training on various risks such as working at height, CDM, asbestos, vibration, and dust, etc.
• They will prepare risk assessments and method statements (RAMS) for the in-house Maintenance team as well as support the development of a suitable training and Health Surveillance Programme for in-house Maintenance colleagues.
• They will provide support, advice, and guidance throughout the contractor procurement process as well as build and effectively maintain relationships with the supply chain.
• They will work with stakeholders in the Operations Management team to carry out appropriate health and safety checks of contractors and carry out their own high-quality in house Health and Safety audits.
• Supporting the Operations Management Team, they will develop a suitable training programme for in-house maintenance colleagues.
