Our client is looking for an Energy Projects Coordinator. To support a large scale home energy efficiency and fuel poverty scheme which helps local residents stay warm and reduce their fuel bills.
This work is a fundamental part of a strategic objectives to reduce fuel poverty and improve home energy efficiency contributing towards the wider Covid-19 recovery.
A proven track record of successful project management is essential, along with experience of contract delivery, budget monitoring, communications, and stakeholder management. A knowledge and experience of project delivery in an energy, environment, regeneration, construction or housing context is essential as this role will be expected to immediately hit the ground running and deliver this fast paced scheme.
The role will work closely with contractors to achieve high performance standards and support local residents on a day-to-day basis out on site with their solar PV installations. Due to the current restrictions the role will need to to effectively work from their own initiative, prioritizing and managing workload with minimal supervision.
Reporting to the Energy Projects Manager, the role is located in the Strategic Housing and Regeneration Service, Economic Growth and Skills.
Whilst Covid-19 restrictions are in place, alternative working arrangements are in place, which will involve lengthy periods of remote working at home and out on site at various locations in the Wakefield district. When restrictions are eased (summer 2021) this post will be partly based in Wakefield One offices in the centre of Wakefield.
