This is a great opportunity to join the Employability Service, within Employment and Skills, to assist in the management of our workforce Covid recovery project. The project will provide free support local businesses to re-establish their workforce after the impact of the Covid lockdown. It will offer free support to businesses to increase the productivity of employees strengthening and developing their skills and aligned to our wider business support offer. As Project Manager, you’ll enjoy a varied range of responsibilities, including: stakeholder relationship management; providing contract compliance assurance for the allocation of funding; providing professional advice and guidance in relation to support available; ensuring that key milestones and information are communicated to internal and external stakeholders; undertaking performance management and promoting quality practice; and identifying, evaluating and implementing processes and systems to enhance project delivery. You’ll need to have significant knowledge and experience in the compliant delivery of publicly funded projects, and a wide range of project management experience that includes all aspects of programme/project risk and performance management; together with an understanding of working with businesses, compliance requirements and partnership working and be able to demonstrate success in maintaining engagement and participation from a breadth of programme stakeholders. You will be experienced in reporting and managing performance of complex projects and presenting performance reports and complex information appropriately to a breadth of stakeholders at all levels. You’ll also be equipped with excellent communication skills, strong organisation and time management skills, and the ability to work to work at senior levels within the organisation and partnership agreements . |
