Employment Officer Contract Full Time

Employment Officer based in Shrewsbury and the hourly rate is £11.50 per hr

This is a full time temporary contract role.

This role will involve:

• Ensuring their individual and service  performance targets are met
• Working with colleagues to ensure the team functions successfully in support of the council’s corporate and service objectives.
• Liaison with DWP colleagues, local authority colleagues and external agencies across Shropshire to develop an employment pathway for youth hub clients.
• Advice and support to job seekers prior to and after paid employment, apprenticeship, traineeship, learning outcome, kickstart placement or self employment.
• Assessing of individual jobseekers employment situation and their needs.
• Advice on future employment and career options where they are not provided by other agencies.
• Completion of all relevant enable paperwork and electronic reporting systems.
• Complying with enable’s quality standards.
• Ideally candidates will have an Enhanced DBS
