Emergency Planning Officer Contract Full Time

Based in Exeter paying £17.06ph PAYE

This is a full time temporary role.     

Our client is looking for an Emergency Planning Officer.

Full time Emergency Planning Officer required for 6 months.

The successful candidate will need to have extensive experience of delivery of emergency planning functions in a public sector organisation and be able to demonstrate excellence in the delivery specifically of plan writing, consultation and adoption as well as writing and delivery of training, exercising and debriefing.

They must be able to demonstrate effective partnership working and effective multi-agency negotiation and relationship management. Ideally this person will have an Emergency Planning degree, evidence of vocational training or equivalent experience.

This role will not be required to deliver on call duty functions but may be called upon to support response to a major incident to provide resilience for the team. Able to commence work immediately, work remotely, and work on concurrent projects to ensure development and delivery in the next 3 – 6 months.

Essential to be able to demonstrate working knowledge of Devon and its local geography and governance arrangements.
