Democratic Service Officer Contract Full Time

Based in Kingston and the rate is £14.12ph PAYE

Our client is looking for a Democratic Services Officer. To have experience of servicing local authority committee meetings and working with elected councillors. As a minimum the candidate will need to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of corporate governance as the role will require the provision of advice to both members of staff and elected councillors. An individual with a background in servicing Boards of School Governors, School Appeals Panels or similar might fit the bill.

Role is being posted on the basis of a 36 hour week but it is possible that it could be effectively managed on a part time basis and open to discussion on this. This is a 3 months and possibly ongoing role. It’s working from home till September and possible same arrangements to continue.
