This is a full time Permanent role.
Our client is looking for a Database Administrator. To support ICT Services in meeting the Corporate Aims and Objectives and provide ICT support to business systems on a day-to-day basis, according to demands and priorities, and/or as directed by ICT Operations Manager.
The successful candidate will diagnose hardware and software faults, liaising with external suppliers as necessary, implementing solutions to problems, and maintaining and creating all necessary documentation including diagrams, procedures and training guides relating to business databases.
They will design and document database architecture and monitor systems/platforms for availability, including but not limited to SQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL, promote and maintain a high level of data security and compliance for all systems and networks, achieving PSN compliance annually and perform database backups, migrations and restorations, and recover corrupted databases of council and third party business systems.
