Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled Data Engineering Lead to provide professional and technical leadership in our data engineering projects. This role involves overseeing all stages of data engineering initiatives, implementing best practices, and ensuring compliance with established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and develop our data engineering capabilities, providing guidance and support to stakeholders.
• Take technical responsibility for data engineering projects, offering method-specific advice.
• Design, develop, and implement complex data flows to connect and transform data from various sources.
• Create conformed data models for analysis and reverse-engineer data models from live systems as needed.
• Establish enterprise-scale data integration procedures and ensure adherence across teams.
• Monitor emerging trends in data-related approaches and introduce innovative practices.
• Promote the value of metadata repositories and implement governance processes to maintain them.
• Identify opportunities for data quality improvements and lead initiatives to enhance data integrity.
• Collaborate with senior members of the Data and Insight Service to plan and deliver data engineering projects.
• Prioritize demand for data engineering support effectively and champion data engineering initiatives.
• The successful candidate will have experience in data engineering, with a strong understanding of data integration and transformation.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies and methodologies.

This position offers hybrid working, with office presence during the week for those who prefer it. Training will be provided in the office
