Communications & Marketing Officer based in Derby and the rate is £13.74 per hr

This is a full time temporary contract role

This role will involve:

• Deliver effective communications and marketing activity as directed by managers and specialists.
• Work across a range of communications & marketing disciplines and service areas across the (in accordance with agreed service/specialist ‘leanings’).
• Plan effective campaigns and business activity using timely communication and marketing tactics to meet defined outcomes and customer needs, within agreed budget.
• Work within project teams on a range of activity using a number of communication and marketing disciplines, including the production of promotional materials, maintenance of websites and social media streams, compiling e-marketing and direct mail, writing and distributing media releases, assisting with media enquiries and events.
• Develop good working relationships with services, key councillors, relevant partners, external stakeholders and other opinion formers.
• Evaluate communication and marketing activity to understand if objectives have been achieved so that decisions can be made about changes in direction for existing or future activity.
