Communication and Platform Engineer needed in Hengoed £16.71ph ref 5160771

Working full time hours on a temporary basis.

Majority of work will be undertaken remotely with visits to site only being required where work cannot be completed in this manner. This is expected to be very minimal for this role but could include attending site to rack up or configure a server, changing backup tapes.  Working hours will be mainly standard office hours between a window of 7am to 7pm. Weekend work may be required for upgrade of some systems but these will be infrequent and preplanned.

Relevant Level 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework for Wales (CQFW).

Recognised networking accreditation in enterprise class technologies.

Recognised platform accreditation in enterprise class technologies.

Recognised virtualisation accreditation in enterprise class technologies.

Recognised project management accreditation.

Current knowledge of trends and developments in the field of Information Technology paying particular emphasis on infrastructure Computing and Management.

Detailed knowledge and experience of a wide variety of infrastructure technologies and their relevant operating systems

Working knowledge of enterprise class firewalls.

Enterprise class networking technologies.

Microsoft Hyper-V server virtualisation technologies.

Working knowledge of MPLS technologies such as VRF lite.
