Commissioning and Procurement Officer to join our team for 6 months for maternity cover.

The current postholder covers provides support to the commissioning manager for corporate and communities so some familiarity with the corporate contracts would be desirable. Some of the projects the current postholder is working on includes support to the green spaces recommissioning, trees, food and green, HR, health and safety and insurance. The postholder will contribute to the effective running of the corporate Commissioning function. They will build strong internal and external working partnerships to enable the service to be delivered in an outcome-focused and efficient way.
About you
We are looking for a candidate with experience and a proven track record of achievement in commissioning and procurement focused services. Our candidate is someone who can work successfully with key stakeholders including partner organisations and other public services and must demonstrate significant relevant experience, and be committed to sharing their knowledge, developing others, and managing others as part of matrix teams where appropriate. The ideal candidate will be have or be working towards a degree or relevant professional qualification, preferably Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS), be politically astute and able to build high levels of credibility, and make an impact quickly.
